Son Stone (Ben Diamond) is a musical storyteller with a sharp lyrical edge and a rich sonic aesthetic. Blending gritty Americana, soulful rock, Hawaiian Slack Key fingerstyle, and poetic folk, his songs take listeners on deeply personal and often unexpected journeys.  Two-time finalist in American Songwriter Magazine’s national songwriting contest, a published and award-winning poet and humorist, Ben’s songs have the wit of John Prine and the grit of Tom Waits.  Ben has written over 250 songs in multiple genres including folk, rock, blues, pop, Hawaiian slack key, and instrumental fingerstyle.  He’s often backed by the incredible Son Stone band, whom John Platt (WFUV) recently called one of the “best new Americana bands”.
